Absurdity in Avertising, Volume VI

Sometimes advertising is meant to be funny. Sometimes it succeeds. Sometimes it succeeds at being funny when it's not supposed to be funny. Sometimes that's when it's funniest of all. This is one of those times. You wouldn't generally think of the Sobey's grocery flyer as a source of mirth, at least I don't. This is one of those times, though, when the person doing the header for the page had no idea what actually was on this particular page. Well, unless toothpaste, tissue, and deodorant are the sort of things you expect in your Christmas stocking. When I was growing up it was moreso candy and small toys, maybe some socks. Certainly not chock-full of hygeine products. If I got up on Christmas morning and found a stocking stuffed with these items, I'd have to start checking how badly I might smell.
