Absurdity in Infantwear, Vol. II

I loved Winnie the Pooh when I was a child, but I was never quite so enthralled with his hyperactive companion Tigger. The bouncy tiger is certainly popular with children today though, and he's almost as well merchandised as the honey-hoarding bear. My children have all manner of Pooh, Tigger, and co. items, many of them gifts from friends and family (thanks everyone). One of them is the hoodie pictured here. ->

It's a nice hoodie, to be sure, although my son has outgrown it, and my daughter is too small to wear it. It's probably sitting in a box of outgrown clothes somewhere in the closest. But like the Winnie the Pooh onesie that inspired the previous edition of Absurdity in Infantwear, there are some serious issues that arise when you study the picture a little too closely. Take a moment to examine the closeup below.

1. He doesn't fit in the car. No, he doesn't. Not even close. Shaquille O'Neal would fit better into a Smart fourtwo cabriolet.
2. Why is the steering wheel in the middle? Most of the world has left-hand drive automobiles, while Japan, the UK and many of its former colonies use right-hand drive. The Hundred Acre Wood seems to have gone with dead-centre drive. Which side of the road do they drive on, I wonder?
3. How is Tigger driving? Dude has no thumbs, fingers, or digits of any kind, so I guess he's basically palming the wheel, in exactly the way they teach you NOT to at driving school.
4. Speaking of driving school. . . Yes, apparently not only is the pneumatic feline driving, according to the crest he is actually in the business of teaching others to drive. Just don't ask me where the student is supposed to sit in that tiny car.
