Making (up) the Band (names)

If you watch Saturday Night Live, you may have recently caught a fake commerical for a movie soundtrack. The movie, Valentine, is real enough, but of the 43 bands listed in the commercial, only eight are real. The amusing part is that until the names started getting really ridiculous, it was hard to tell the real from the made up names. Sitting between real names like Rob Zombie and TC, Exquisite Mammals doesn't seem so out of place. If you're curious or really bored, I'll post the full list from SNL here. Anyway, this got me starting to think about making a little test to see if anyone could tell real band names from ones I made up. So I made an online quiz. Click the link below for the quiz (it will temporarily take you out of this site, but don't worry, it links back). There are ten band names listed, five real, five fake. Enjoy.
